I noticed keenly, when he played me his song, that we share a similar turn of phrase. The intricate props of the subject matter are only truly understood by the storyteller and the muse.

These props are so obviously taken from real life, that they are only there as an effort to communicate: to explain exactly the feelings associated with one object in time. Reaching out with words.

"Don't break my windows, just go", he sang.

I've broken a street full of windows in my time. Wonder if he knows?
